Travellers in Dubai now have a new form of transport when getting around the city. The emirate’s Road and Transport Authority launched a new 5-boat water taxi service this week to supplement its existing public transportation options. Working like a regular car taxi service, commuters can call a toll-free number to request a pick-up by the sleek carbon fiber boats between 1000 hrs and 2200 hrs.

18 stations situated along Dubai Creek and tourist spots are now operational, including Al Boom Tourist Village, Al Fheidi, Al Mamzar, Al Seef, Al Sabkha, Al Shindagha, Atlantis Hotel, Bani Yas, Bur Dubai, Deira Old Souq, Dubai Creek Park (A,B), Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina, Jebel Ali Hotel and Spa, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Beach Park and Open Jumeirah Beach.
